Old Mesilla Tour - $60
Take a walk through history as you travel the streets made famous by the infamous Billy the Kid. Enjoy Southern New Mexico’s local artisans through silver creations and southwestern style. Dine on fantastic cuisine highlighting wonderful New Mexico red and green chili masterpieces. Wet your whistle at the local watering hole. And most of all, bask in the outstanding weather and local hospitality. Old Mesilla is bound to delight, even captivate you to stay. (Note: weather subject to change. Mission Trail Tour - $50
Join a journey to reveal the foundation of El Paso del Norte. Follow Don Juan de Onate’s trial of expedition that brought to modern life The Mission Trail. Capture the essence of 1700 century Catholicism as it unfolds before your eyes in the Ysleta Mission, Socorro Mission and San Elizario Chapel. Explore the culture of the Tigua Indians. Hone your bartering skills at the Mission Trial Trading Post Bookery (try all you like, but you’ll probably pay the marked price). And above all, learn of the early days of life as an explorer and founder of the oldest town and parish in Texas.
Shopping Tour: Cowboy Boot Factory/ Saddleblanket Co. - $60
You can’t visit El Paso without trying/buying at least one pair of boots?!? Come shopping and see what pair your spurs fit on. Got boots? Now you need a cozy blanket. See what over an acre indoors is like when you visit the Saddleblanket Company. If you can imagine a pattern for a blanket, then this place probably has it. (Hint: pack a bag light to take all your “loot” back home, the blankets of course, ‘cause you’ll be wearing the boots!)
Viva El Paso Theater Dinner & Show - $40 (one complimentary dinner with CRC registration)
Hungry? Been needing to take your significant other on a romantic and educational outing? The answer is Viva El Paso! Witness the history of El Paso through song, dance, drama and narration. Relish in the outdoor amphitheater at McKelligon Canyon. Awe at the performers, and maybe spot the next big name in acting! After this performance, you’ll be saying ‘Viva El Paso!’
El Paso Zoo - $40
Lions and Tigers and Bears, … oh-kay that’s a little too cliché, but animals is what the Zoo has. Bring the kids, young and old, to see the sea lions, squawk at the McCaws and make faces at the monkeys. Learn about local water resources and the importance of preserving this most valued commodity. Bring a camera to capture your “so called” trip to Africa’s lion kingdom. Or just enjoy the day outside walking among the critters.
Cattleman's Steakhouse - $70
Still Hungry? Venture out to Cattleman’s for a meal that can’t be beat. Feel the cool breeze of the High Desert as you sip a glass of wine. Dine with the coyotes as they finish what you don’t or can’t (the coyotes aren’t allowed inside, for the most part). And to escape from the wonderful food coma that you will defiantly experience, stroll around the property to catch a brilliant sunset. Stroll not in mind? Catch that same sunset on a leisurely hay ride. You’ll be glad you made the trip!
